What Does the PRIP Team Do?
The IMS PRIP (Project Reconciliation & Invoice Processing) team is tasked with accurate and timely client invoicing through a comprehensive review of billing processes and ensuring adherence to guidelines. They perform month end accrual entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and support client deliverable timelines.

What's the Opportunity?
IMS is currently seeking a Billing Lead to work in either our Skokie, IL or Kenosha, WI facilities The Billing Lead will be responsible for leading and planning the billing operations for multiple client groups. This position is responsible for streamlining effective billing processes across multiple clients and implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for new clients. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the departmentThis position will supervise a team of Billing Specialists; generate highly detailed client-specific invoices and be responsible for resolving issues associated with job reconciliation.
Primary Responsibilities Include :
- Monitoring and analyzing daily dashboards, evaluating billing progress and addressing any areas of concern through detailed review of billing notes.
- Collaborating with onshore and offshore teams to support billing activities and ensure timely distribution of client invoices.
- Ensuring compliance with client-specific billing methods, cut-off dates, and process requirements across all billing functions.
- Reviewing and approving invoices for accuracy and completeness before client submission.
- Reconciling and analyzing WIP (Work in Progress) ledger and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Approving balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring proper documentation of balances and any variances.
- Preparing and / or approving month-end journal entries and accruals, ensuring timely reporting for month-end close.
- Assisting with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
- Responding promptly to client and internal staff inquiries related to billing, invoicing, and other financial concerns.
- Adhering to established accounting processes, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Continuously reviewing and updating processes and procedures, recommending improvements and implementing efficiencies.
- Mentoring and supporting team development, fostering growth and improving team performance through training and guidance.
