JOB SUMMARY :
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Inspecting and auditing products and processes. This position requires the ability to manage control of calibration system. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO :
- Test using existing weld certifications and / or develop weld certifications and corresponding PDQ’s.
- Review and approve welding procedures.
- Verify welder and welding procedure qualification compliance.
- Verify safety requirements compliance.
- Develop visual inspection procedures and provide NDE inspection planning / scheduling.
- Review contract requirements and vendor / contractor compliance.
- Develop, implement, or oversee quality control programs and measures.
- Validate product and process conformance and report to Quality Supervisor.
- Manage (develop, train & maintain) welders according to AWS & IMP standards.
- Read and inspect blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Assist with developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions by investigating non-conforming product.
- Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Will use multiple measuring devices to verify drawing measurements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Keep accurate records of production output.
