Job Summary
The Operations Manager will lead production planning, execution, and shipping efforts for manufactured items. Develop and implement strategies to continually improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, OSHA Compliance, safety, quality, and team growth.
Duties/Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.
· Informs sales department, relevant management, and other stakeholders of delays.
· Facilitates maintenance and repairs to equipment.
· Works with other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
· Performs counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
· Ensures that all necessary stock and shop supplies is ordered and stored in the correct warehouse locations.
· Manages customer and supplier return process.
· Leads others in safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations.
· Any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
· A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
· Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
· Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Valid professional driver’s license and good driving record with no traffic violations.
· Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· High school degree or equivalent required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures and wet/humid weather.
· Ability to operate a company vehicle.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
