Duties and responsibilities:
Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain, recommends test to determine extent of pain, diagnose condition or manage pain, provides relief from acute or chronic pain through use of medication, nerve blocks, electric stimulation or other therapies.
- Diagnose, counsel, and treat patients.
- Document patient visits and procedures including health history, treatment plan, results of physical examination, etc. and record in electronic medical record.
- Plan, promote, demonstrate, recommend, and coordinate high standards of medical practice.
- Maintain specialty certification and licensure by satisfying all requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
We need you to have:
- MD/DO from an accredited educational institution.
- ABMS Fellowship training in Pain Medicine
- ABMS Board certification/eligibility in Pain Medicine (must obtain board certification within 1 year of employment)
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or eligible for application)
- Favorable malpractice history
- Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- DEA license
- BC/BE (Required)
- Medical License
- 1 year Pain Management fellowship

Working conditions:
- Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 5 PM CST, Friday 8AM – 2PM CST. No weekends or nights, half day Fridays! Work Life Balance!
- Pain Medicine Clinic and Surgery Center
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Supervisory requirements:
- This role has no supervisory requirements.
Travel:
- On occasion.
Bi-lingual is preferred.
