Provider Enrollment Specialist – IPMS
Location: East Hartford, CT (Hybrid after orientation)
Job Overview: IPMS seeks an experienced Provider Enrollment Specialist with expertise in revenue cycle management to manage the credentialing process for medical providers. This role requires a solid understanding of private, public, and government insurance carriers (e.g., PECOS, Medicare, CAQH, NPPES, Medicaid) and a proven ability to manage enrollment, re-credentialing, and provider ID processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enroll providers with various payers (private, government, Medicaid).
- Manage credentialing for multiple practices of various specialties.
- Maintain up-to-date licensure and credentialing documents.
- Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely credentialing and reimbursement.
- Follow up on missing documents and outstanding applications.
- Prepare and maintain applications for both initial and re-credentialing.
- Update provider data and ensure proper documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credentialing and enrollment.
- Strong knowledge of managed care, commercial, and federal payer systems.
- Proficient with PECOS, Medicare, CAQH, NPPES, Medicaid.
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD9/10 codes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows-based software and electronic filing systems.
Education:
- High school diploma (higher education or certification in a related field preferred).
