As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective rodent control programs within poultry facilities. This position involves executing established rodent control strategies, monitoring rodent activity, and ensuring that control measures are consistently applied to protect the health and safety of poultry operations. The Pest Control Technician will work to maintain the health and productivity of poultry operations by controlling rodent populations effectively and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Application & Logistics
- Implement rodent control measures, including but not limited to setting traps, placing bait stations, and performing routine inspections within poultry facilities.
- Replace and maintain bait stations, traps, and other control devices according to established schedules and protocols.
- Monitor and document rodent activity levels to assess the effectiveness of control methods.
- Follows appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP) for mixing, handling, loading, and applying all chemical products including, but not limited to, chlorine-based solutions, acids, pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, rodenticides), and disinfectants.
- Deliver exceptional service by being punctual, professional, and responsive to customer inquiries.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper handling and application of rodent control solutions.
- Personnel required to follow company and customer bio-security and safety protocols. Must be able to wear PPE including, but not limited to, masks, gloves, boot coverings, eye, ear, and face protection.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, application rates, and services provided.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those related to hazardous materials.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure all rodent control equipment, such as traps and bait stations, is in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Clean and sanitize equipment as needed to prevent contamination and ensure effective operation.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment, addressing any issues promptly.
Education & Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent, agricultural and/or pest control experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license with clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and no preventable accident history.
- Must obtain a state-issued pest control license in required states.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Working Environment:
This position will consist of various working environments including, but not limited to, confined poultry housing, outdoor, and warehouse operations. Confined poultry housing is a dusty environment and at times may have high levels of ammonia.
