Responsibilities & Expectations :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team.
- Communicate directly with customers in a timely manner, plan work, and manage other technicians onsite. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage (up to 500kV) electrical systems, and perform moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.
- A strong transformer testing background is a must, including Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, and other related tests.
- Test electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor-based relays.
- Handle battery systems, low / medium / high voltage switches, MCCs, IR scanning, surge arrestors, voltage regulators, and more
- Perform Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, and DC Hipot testing on cables.
- Troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches.
- Test low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
- Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, and willingness to be on call.
- Work safely alone and as part of a team, closely adhering to all electrical safety procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and conduct safety training and inspections.
