What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF RESIDENT SERVICES position at Integrated Practice Management LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Behavioral Health .Administrator. the Director of Resident Services is responsible for the day to day operation of the Good Sam Healing Center(s), to which they are assigned. This position leads the residential team's care, treatment and services on behalf of residents staying in short term housing while preparing for permanent long-term housing stability. The Director of Resident Services ensures that all resident care plans are clear, viable and up to date and that the team of social service providers coordinates the delivery of medical and social service care both in house and in the community as needs are assessed for each individual resident.
Ill. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversight of daily operations by multidisciplinary staff of mental health workers, substance use disorder counselor(s), case manager(s), LVJ\Jand subcontracted housekeeping, food services, and other ancillary providers.
- Admissions - In cooperation with the Managed Care Plan Liaison, the DORS shall screen (including in person interview when available) potential residents for ability to meet admissions criteria, including assessing for medical and/or behavioral health conditions that may require accommodation, coordination and availability of ancillary services. and capabilities of GSHC to provide a safe and productive environment for each applicant.
- Discharges - Coordinates discharge with Care Manager to find safe and appropriate level of permanent housing and community engagement. administrative discharge of individuals for non-compliance with admissions agreement (using judgement to distinguish redirection from dischargeable offenses).
- Determining level and place of service for unusual medical and behavioral health occurrences, such as when patients require EMS versus PCP versus Urgent Care or hotline/telehealth encounters.
- Managed care Plan data exchange maintenance and submissions. with support from MCP Liaison
- Leadership and guidance of multidisciplinary staff, including in house trainings.
- Marketing and maintaining relationships with outside vendors
- Direct communication with the Medical Clinics and medical staff
- Staff scheduling. including coverage as necessary
- Staff support and discipline and performance reviews including identifying and executing performance improvement measures and educational resources that encourage staff rete11t1on and excellence.
- Orders and cares for operational supplies including office supplies, warehouse goods, linens, stericycle and IT needs
- Coordinates with Plant Operations for necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Maintains logs and submit to Transportation Manager. Maintains safety inspections and submit to Good Sam Hospital Plant Operation Coordinator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Services or related field; OR 3 years' experience working with individuals with housing insecurity in an institutional or outreach setting; OR 3 years experience working in a residential services setting.
BLS Required within first 60 days of employment
Handle with Care or similar certification in crisis de-escalation (e.g. Pro-Act: PART) required within first 30 days of employment.

NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace. especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of worker even though the amount of force is negligible.
