We are looking for a dedicated Senior Process Engineer to join our talented team at our office located in . Emeryville, CA
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes and supporting utilities on a scale that can range from developmental pilot plants to full commercial production.
Position Responsibilities
- Assists the Lead Process Engineer with conceptual design deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams and Material and Energy Balances.
- Estimates utility requirements for new manufacturing processes, and design utility generation and distribution systems.
- Generate Process P&IDs (preferably on AutoCAD) that include controls strategy and CIP / SIP functions.
- Generates P&IDs for critical utility systems, such as WFI, USP Purified water, and Clean Steam.
- Performs engineering studies for expanding, improving, or automating existing facilities with limited supervision.
- Produces specifications and performance data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation.
- Makes use of and participates in the development of company design and production tools, including process simulation and smart P&IDs.
- Assumes ownership of the process-related aspects of a portion of a large project or an entire small project, and provides technical support to the design team.
- Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with clients and members of the IPS design team.
