Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. Their role includes processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Location: Boone, NC

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: On-site, 8am-5pm

Pay Range: $20-$23/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents
• Maintain and update accounting records, including ledgers and journals
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare financial reports and summaries as required
• Handle data entry and maintain financial records in accounting software
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
• Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or associate degree in accounting or a related field
• Experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting (preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
