Essential Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Assist the Executive Director in managing daily operations to ensure smooth community function.
- Oversee community programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a high quality of life for residents.
- Serve as a key liaison between residents, families, staff, and leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for residents and families.
- Assist in handling resident concerns, inquiries, and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Support move-ins, transfers, and discharges while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Partner with the healthcare team to ensure personalized care plans align with resident needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and community staff.
- Support the recruitment, training, and retention of a high-performing team.
- Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and resident-centered care.
- Assist with financial planning, budget management, and cost control efforts.
- Monitor occupancy rates and collaborate with the sales team to optimize community growth.
- Ensure proper management of operational expenses to align with company financial goals.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, state licensing regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and inspections.
- Support the Executive Director in developing and implementing quality assurance programs.
- May support the marketing team in promoting the community and attracting new residents.
- Engages with residents’ families, local organizations, and community groups to maintain strong relationships.
- Participates in public relations efforts to maintain a positive reputation for the facility.
- Works with staff to identify areas for improvement in care, services, and operations.
- Supports the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensures continuous monitoring of the facility’s performance to ensure high standards are met.
- Supports the Executive Director in managing emergency situations such as natural disasters, health crises (flu outbreak, covid-19), or accidents.
- Ensures that the facility has effective disaster plans in place and that staff are trained to handle emergencies.
- Acts as a key partner to the Executive Director, providing feedback, sharing insights, and helping make decisions that align with the goals of the senior living community.
- May step in to lead the facility in the absence of the Executive Director.
- College degree required. A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Leadership, or a related field.
- Senior Living experience is a MUST.
- Maintain excellent customer service.
