As a Material Replenishment Specialist located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:

• Plan, design and implement material replenishment processes relative to current production, including developing and driving execution of plan for every part to achieve lean manufacturing and total lowest landed cost. This position is responsible for basic material replenishment activities for an assigned area of the factory.
• Develops, executes, owns and audits material replenishment methodology, strategy and guidelines, i.e. sequence, kit and controlled delivery by build schedule
• Manages and coordinates plans for every part and storage solution, including raw in-process sizing and total replenishment cost optimization
• Collaborates with Supply Management on replenishment parameters, i.e. order frequency and quantity

• 1 or more years of Manufacturing and/or Operations experience
• 1 or more years of work experience in a team environment
• Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
• Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  
  

Establishes the material flow and movement strategy for the raw material, WIP and complete goods. Ensures that there is optimized material movement that results in increased productivity and efficiency, reduction of inventory levels as well as higher inventory accuracy.

Duties:

Evaluates current logistics flow through the facility for slow moving vs. fast moving materials. Performs root cause analysis; determines corrective action for appropriate material replenishment and flow throughout the factory. Establishes and monitors line side inventory levels and presentation.

Plans material replenishment strategies to support variable build levels and inventory accuracy while minimizing material handling costs. Establishes and creates triggers based on raw material or complete goods replenishment cycles and lead times. Determines correct inventory location for raw materials and complete goods inventory. Plans raw material and In Process storage strategies.

Serves as expert for Warehouse Management portion of SAP, determining zones for warehouse locations. Establishes SAP system parameters to drive material to its point of use. Serves as transportation resource to unit operations personnel to assure optimal carrier selection for shipment and delivery and to facilitate compliance with appropriate governmental regulations.

Reviews and analyzes freight cost to optimize services and cost and manages all freight loss, product damage, overcharge, trailer and container detention and service related claims in order to minimize costs.
