Job Description : Job Summary :
The client's Information Technology department seeks a Network Architect to support the enterprise with network devices, network architecture, and network communications security. Primary focus is Data Center networking, Enterprise WAN and Cloud connectivity efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Support enterprise managed network device configurations (e.g., network switches and routers) and architectures in a high availability environment and support associated network communications, implementations and modifications.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for networking issues and manage, configure, install, troubleshoot, and provide oversight for network devices and network services associated with Data Center Networks, WAN connectivity, Cloud connectivity networks, and associated communication interfaces.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including replacement, service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Architect and implement network designs across the enterprise.
Provide network engineering expertise in the disciplines of core routing, core switching, network security, network diagnostics, and load balancing.
Monitor regulatory requirements, industry trends, and potential impacts to enterprise networks.
Monitor system performance, connectivity, and resource utilization.
Provide change management review and approvals. Follow change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Collaborate with client's staff members to broaden network knowledge and technical expertise across the team.
Ensure system drawings and documentation are revised as needed.
Experience :
10 years of networking experience
Strong engineering and operational skills in Enterprise routing and switching environments.
Deep understanding of network routing protocols : EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS, STP, DHCP, SNMP, TCP, UDP
Must have experience with network break / fix of layer 2 and 3 environments.
