Job Summary :
As a Designer III, you will be responsible for design work and producing drawings for pipeline projects based on Product requirements provided by internal business partners.
Experience Desired in Designer III :
5 to 10 years of drafting experience
3 to 8 years’ experience in the oil and gas Mapping / Survey industry is required.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology is ideal.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and principles with advanced drafting ability and basic design skills in at least one discipline
Survey field experience is preferred but not required.
ESRI ArcPro experience is preferred but not required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities for Designer III :
Process data for Mapping / Survey preliminary, construction and as-built surveys and projects to ensure accuracy and consistency
Work alongside Mapping / Survey Leads to execute Growth and Tactical survey projects
Gathers information from identified sources
Monitors and reports on progress and quality
Uses basic problem-solving techniques
Coordinates multiple design and drafting projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables
May provide general direction to junior-level staff and contract drafters / designers
Monitors and reports on progress, performance, and quality
Troubleshoots and solves complex problems guided by past precedence
Creates designs for pipeline and related facilities based on Product requirements provided by internal business partners.
Prepares working plans, detailed drawings, and diagrams according to standards and specifications
Estimates the time required to complete assigned work products
Coordinates multiple design and drafting projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables
Prepare, load and maintain metadata for Survey / Mapping Department
Use ESRI and Autodesk products to create, verify, re-project and modify vector and raster data
Division of work is roughly 20% communication / coordination and 80% CADD work.
Job requires no travel but may vary based on project assignments. No more than 5%
