Job Description:
- The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) provides direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
- The L&D RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both routine and high-risk deliveries.
- Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues.
- The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S).
- Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation.
- CPI, BLS & ACLS - Required
- NRP - Required
- AWHONN - Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring - Required
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required
- L&D Experience - Required: 3 Years
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - Required
- BSN - Highly desired
Salary : $40 - $2,595
