Job Description:
- Guide our Agile development teams to success as a Scrum Master, facilitating collaboration, removing obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- The nature of the work as a Scrum Master, facilitating collaboration, removing obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, is focused in ensuring the effective application of Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality products within established timelines.
Responsibilities include:
- Scrum Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration within and between cross-functional teams, promoting communication and transparency. Facilitate discussions and decision-making to drive project success.
- Obstacle Removal: Identify and eliminate impediments that hinder team progress. Proactively address challenges to ensure the team can deliver value without disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement: Instill a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Encourage reflection, feedback, and the adoption of best practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and communicate team progress using Agile metrics. Provide visibility into the team's performance and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and refine the product backlog. Ensure alignment between business goals and development efforts.
- Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching on Agile principles and practices. Mentor team members in the adoption of Agile methodologies and help them grow in their roles.
- Support Strategic Enterprise Capabilities (SEC) program timelines by enforcing program processes.
- Coordinate SEC Build phase by managing dependencies, following up and resolving blockers
- Ensure metrics are accurate by enforcing JIRA standardization from Program PMO
- Coordinate resolution of SEC defects by ensuring ALM is up to date, teams are resolving defects with appropriate urgency to support SEC testing, and communicating status clearly and concisely in a way that is consumable by Senior Leadership
- Support accurate and timely information with other program tools: such as ServiceNow, Confluence, Power BI, Box Documentation, Smartsheet
- Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience
