Job Description:
- The Staff RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of patients in an inpatient setting, particularly within the Radiology and Ancillary department.
- The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, with a focus on an adult patient population.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing radiological procedures.
- Provide conscious sedation and perform pre-procedural patient calls.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in procedural nursing, particularly in critical care settings.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in on-call rotation and manage care during procedures as needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/Emergency Room) required.
- Prior experience in procedural nursing preferred.
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License (NLC).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or equivalent) required within 90 days of hire.
- Completion of an accredited School of Nursing required for licensure.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; non-BSN nurses with less than one year of experience must enroll in a BSN program within 15 months of hire.
