What you'll do:
- Support individuals in job development - resume building, interview practice, and learning new employability skills
- Provide transportation to and from work, and assist with accessing their community
- Provide support to maintain their employment and productivity
- Discover a persons' interests, skills, and employment goals
- Work with their circle of support in creating a meaningful daily schedule

Responsibilities
- Understands and practices IRI’s mission and embraces person-centered values.
- Demonstrates respectful and dignified interaction and communication with IRI persons served, stakeholders (such as co-workers, employers, family members, community members) and IRI colleagues.
- Assumes competence and builds esteem in all interactions with IRI persons served.
- Implement a normalized community integrated employment focused service.
- Develop integrated work schedules.
- Find integrated work settings and develop competitive employment placement.
- Provide encouragement for meaningful employment related activities to the client.
- Conduct frequent job site analysis - pre, during and post-employment.
- Implement adaptation strategies and devices based upon individual need.
- Provide typical and specialized healthcare needs (medication, hygiene, toiletry feeding) as needed.
- Implement individual service plan goals and SMART objectives.
- Monitor positive behavior strategy system and plans.
- Conduct task analysis and demonstrate data-based training decisions.
- Dependable and reports to work on time on a daily basis.
- Maintains regular communication with employer or volunteer site coordinator.
- Completes all required documents: eRSP daily care notes, daily activities, clocking in/out.
- Attends and completes staff development training and attend monthly trainings.
- Communicate progress to IRI persons served and manager.
- Dresses professionally and/or appropriately for tasks that are done with person supported (see dress code policy).
- Demonstrate proper emergency strategies.
- Contact and report emergencies to Support Manager, as necessary.
- Collaborates with individual served and supported, Lead Employment Coach, Support Manager and circle of support to complete customized employment activities including discovery, vocational profile and list of twenty prospective employers for job development.
- Contact prospective employers and facilitate job application for participants.
- Shadow and train other coaches with a specific individual you support.
- All other duties as assigned by the Support Manager, Director of Services, and Chief Executive Officer.
Skills and Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED required.
- College experience or degree is preferred, but not required.
- Job development and on-the-job support experience preferred, but not required.
- Reliable vehicle that can pass our safety inspection, with valid vehicle registration and insurance.
- Clean criminal background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record.
- Communication skills with the ability to use a cell phone and computer.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Experience with positive behavior approach is a plus, but is not required.
- Experience with (Autism) ASD is a plus, but is not required, rather an interest in helping a person to be integrated into their community and productive citizens
- Bi-lingual skills are desired, but not required.
- First Aid / CPR certificate (desired; we provide additional training as needed).
