Integrated Services of Kalamazoo is seeking a dynamic Child/Adult Psychiatrist who has experience working with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. The successful candidate will perform outpatient psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals in need of specialty psychiatric services. Responsible for conducting emergency mental health evaluations to assess an individual's immediate needs to ensure their safety. Prepares treatment plans, coordinates, and communicates clinical decision-making with input from individuals served and other providers (i.e. case managers, PCPs, etc.) to ensure care is provided in a recovery-oriented, integrated fashion. Leads in education and awareness-building among staff throughout agency on evidence-based and emerging practices within areas of specialization.
Our position offers great work/life balance! Psychiatrists are not required to work evenings, weekends or holidays but do rotate being on-call for phone consultations for a 7-day period.
Requires M.D. or D.O. degree as well as 3 years clinical experience with children and/or adults with mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Computer skills, e-mail necessary; experience with electronic medical record preferred. Required licenses: Valid DEA, valid Michigan Medical license. Recognized Board Certification/eligibility preferred.
