School Based Liaison, Masters Level Clinician

Do you have a passion for improving the health of individuals receiving behavioral health services? Would you like to be a valuable member of a diversity driven, mission-minded team that impacts our community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as School Based Liaison!  This is a .8 FTE position that allows you to work full-time when school is in session and to have time off that aligns with the school schedule! You will get Christmas break, spring break and up to 8 weeks off in the summer! 

What You Will Be Doing

Working as a School Based Liaison you will work with families, schools and other community stakeholders.   Duties may include:

* Screening, assessments and linking youth/families to community resources such as outpatient therapy.

* Classroom observations.

* Brief therapy (short-term, time-limited services).

* Administer brief mental health screening tools.

* Participate in school meetings such as IEP's or 504's.

* Collaborate with school staff regarding behavioral and mental health needs in the school setting. 

* Coordination with other treatment teams within ISK.           

 What We Require

You will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field and a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred; Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW),  Limited License Psychologist (LLP) preferred; Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and valid Michigan Driver’s license. A minimum of 1 year of experience, 3 years preferred, working with youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families is required.

You will have knowledge of the DSM V, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, culturally responsive interventions, evidence-based and promising practice interventions. You will be familiar with psychotropic medications and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment.  The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptive to changes in policies and procedures, assist in meeting outcome measures and provide excellent clinical service to consumers.
