Our IS4S Ogden, Utah location is seeking to hire an experienced communications engineer to support the development of a modular, open communication system for unmanned airborne platforms. In particular, we are looking for candidates who are self-starters, teachable, and able to learn new things as they work together with others to solve challenging technical problems. Work varies based on the project from core, low-level development to high-level designs for system architectures that interact with other DoD components.
Job Role(s) : This position will :
- Provide technical expertise in the design and porting of waveforms to software defined radios (SDRs)
- Provide technical expertise in the development of standards based SDRs for the DoD
- Serve as a technical team member or task leader as required.
- Oversee sub-contractor integration of government owned waveforms that provide the PHY, Link / MAC, and Network solutions
- Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
