Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management, organization, and storage of large datasets for Air Force programs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
- Support data collection efforts across various teams and program areas, ensuring that data meets required specifications and is aligned with program goals
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data management systems, databases, and repositories to streamline data handling and retrieval processes
- Analyze large volumes of program-related data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and actionable insights that support program objectives
- Provide data reports and visualizations to program stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data requirements are understood and met
- Ensure compliance with Air Force data management policies, standards, and regulations, including data security and confidentiality requirements
- Assist in the development of data management best practices and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of data handling
- Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure data is accurate, complete, and free of errors
- Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests (as needed) by the program teams and leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in data management, analysis, or a related field (internships or relevant academic experience considered)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management software, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience working with large datasets and data processing techniques
- Understanding of data governance, data security practices, and compliance regulations (experience with government or military-related projects is a plus)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to present data findings clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support multiple stakeholders
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Microsoft Access, or similar)
- Familiarity with Air Force data management tools, systems, or protocols (e.g., AF Portal, MIL-STD, etc.)
- Experience with automated data collection and reporting processes
- Familiarity with basic statistical methods and tools for data analysis
- Understanding of military or defense program operations and requirements
