We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions, property law, and related legal matters. This role involves providing legal advice, drafting and reviewing documents, and representing clients in real estate transactions and disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Consultation: Provide sound legal advice to clients on various real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, zoning, and land use.
- Document Preparation and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence, including title examinations and property inspections, to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Transaction Management: Oversee and facilitate real estate transactions from inception to closing, ensuring all legal requirements are met and interests are protected.
- Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in real estate disputes, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration, aiming for favorable outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial or residential transactions.
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, property law, contract law, and related legal principles.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations or bar associations.
