ITS has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturer that is seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer. The ideal candidate will focus on negotiating optimal pricing and terms, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, and aligning with production schedules to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Hybrid Position (1-2 days onsite a week)
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and manage RFQs, working with cross-functional teams to align with planning and present data to leadership.
- Select suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and delivery performance, ensuring alignment with business and customer needs.
- Analyze supplier quotes and product specifications, preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Lead supplier negotiations, leveraging cost insights and industry forecasts to secure favorable terms.
- Manage blanket purchase orders (BPOs) and adjust procurement processes for optimal performance.
- Oversee critical tooling and fixture procurement to support timely, cost-effective production.
- Drive annual price reduction (APR) initiatives and resolve supplier quality or delivery issues.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA / VE) efforts.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships while exploring new partnerships.
- Conduct supplier audits with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing performance, including savings and minority supplier participation.
- Support diversity initiatives by fostering partnerships with minority-owned businesses.
- Perform other relevant duties as required.
