ITG Technical Level 1- Technician
Position Title: Technical Level 1 - Technician
Location: Madison Heights, VA
Position Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Position Summary:
As a Level 1 Technician at ITG, you are the frontline of technical support. You will interact with clients daily, resolving basic IT issues and ensuring seamless operations. This position is perfect for someone passionate about IT, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline technical support via phone, live chat, and remote assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).
- Assist with troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Perform basic endpoint security tasks, such as antivirus scans and software updates.
- Assist with email security tasks, including spam filtering service requests.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools.
- Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Manager within 30 minutes after initial troubleshooting.
- Follow standard operating procedures for troubleshooting and support.
- Deliver exceptional service through ITG’s 5 Core Values.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School diploma required, associate degree or higher preferred.
- Required: CompTIA A Certification.
- Preferred: CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , Microsoft AZ-900, or equivalent certifications and/or experience.
- 1 Years supporting LAN/WAN Environments.
- Familiarity with Windows desktop environments and basic server functionality.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
