Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other imaging modalities, to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a correctional environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including radiation safety practices.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging department.
Requirements
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with protocols for working in a Level II Trauma Center is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions during imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $46.44 - $50.88 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
