Data Scientist

Overview

i3 is pursuing the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) competitive effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. We are currently reviewing candidate resumes for mid to senior level Data Scientists in the Huntsville, AL area. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Serves as data SME when designing, developing or optimizing data driven solutions and applications.
• Data mining; extending organization's data with third party sources of information when required; enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems; processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis; conducting ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner; creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Years of relevant experience requirements for each level:
  • Level I: 10-14, Level II: 15
• Understand machine learning techniques and algorithms; experience with common data science toolkits, data visualization tools, proficient in using query languages such as SQL; applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.; scripting and programming skills.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
