i3 is seeking a motivated Project Engineer/Science and Technology analyst to support the development and fielding of advanced Launched Effects (LE) platforms within the Command, Control, and Effects (C2E) Product Office of The Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Project Office. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team of government and contractor engineers, working collaboratively to integrate essential technologies and ensure these systems meet the rigorous demands of the modern battlefield. This position will employ Agile hardware development methodologies to accelerate the development lifecycle and promote rapid iteration, improvement and fielding.

- Serves as the Science and Technology (S&T) Analyst for the Command, Control and Effects Product Office within the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Project Office (PM UAS).
- Provides technical support and leadership in defense acquisition, with a focus on emergent technologies that may close current or future capability gaps
- Develops and maintains the S&T roadmap and transition plans for Launched Effects and Uncrewed Vehicle Control. Projects may be related to propulsion, avionics, position navigation and timing (PNT), structures, airworthiness, software, autonomy, and other functional engineering specialties.
- Assists in the development of integrated master schedules, strategic roadmaps, and milestone and technical documentation for contract requirements packages and various contracting and acquisition strategies.
- Leads coordination with PM UAS Technical Management Division, other Product Offices and PEO AVN personnel, as well as external organizations, such as Army Labs, Army Futures Command Cross Functional Teams, other services, academia, and industry to identify technologies that may be applicable to C2E systems with a focus on integrating efforts with UAS platform acquisition schedules to facilitate product transition.
- Serve as key contributor to an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or in a group of engineers and technical personnel engaged in the management and execution of one or more life cycle phases of LE systems development.
- Technical Analysis Conduct technical assessments to evaluate system compatibility, performance, and adherence to military standards and specifications.
- Integration Support Assist in the integration of payloads, datalinks, communications systems, avionics, and launchers onto LE platforms.
- System Analysis Analyze system designs and architectures to identify potential integration issues and recommend solutions.
- Requirements Analysis Review and analyze system requirements to ensure they are complete, consistent, and testable.
- Agile Implementation Participate in Agile development sprints, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Documentation Contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation, including interface control documents, design specifications, and technical reports.
- Communication and Teamwork Communicate effectively with government and contractor personnel, fostering a strong and collaborative team environment.
- Conduct system analysis to identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and performance issues.
- Analyze simulation data to identify trends, insights, and potential improvements.

- Education Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems) from an accredited institution.
- Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience within an Army Acquisition Product Office.
- US Citizenship is required
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain such is required.
- Working knowledge of unmanned aircraft systems or related technologies.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and integration processes.
- Familiarity with requirements analysis and system design.
- Knowledge of relevant military standards and specifications.
- Agile Development Experience with Agile hardware development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Communication Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of Army and DoD Science and Technology organizations and processes.
