Overview
i3 is looking for a Systems Integration Technician to support US Air Force RPA training systems as well as other RPA-related development activities. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for creating technical solutions related to hardware, software, and networking system integration issues. Knowledge in virtual machines, hypervisors is highly desired. Working in this role will include being a member of a highly technical team in a System integration Lab environment to develop or modify an existing system to meet customer requirements. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
- Establish new or modify existing system servers to host, configure, and manage virtual machines.
- Install and configure iterative software builds on existing system architecture in support of engineering, development, or production releases.
- Define, document, analyze, build, and execute technical solutions needed to integrate physical and virtual system components.
- Investigate and resolve technical problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
- Implement and manage active directory and domain services.
- Configure and manage physical and virtual networks.
- Provide technical support and advice to the engineering team and guide and direct personnel in test setup and performance.
- Plan and conduct, assignments under general supervision, review progress, evaluate results, and plan to incorporate needed adjustments.
- Recommend changes in procedures, operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions, and review progress with management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required. BS degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience managing Linux KVM hypervisor hosted virtual machines preferred.
- Virtual and physical networking experience.
- Experience with windows and RedHat Linux administration.
- Security and/or Net certifications preferred but not required.
- Experience with creating technical documentation on new technical solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
- Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Security Clearance:
- Secret security clearance required.
