Project Control Engineer

Job Description:

• The Controls Project Engineer will be responsible for hardware/software design and programming for building automation systems.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and programming activities utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings.
• Responsible for the sequence of operations which meet the project requirements.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Possesses knowledge of air conditioning systems and controls.
• Reviews equipment submittals for incorporation into design.
• Responsible for creating installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and final validation of system operation.
• Assists project team with programming, electrical terminations, commissioning, graphic development, test, and startup.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or a combination of three to four years’ experience with controls/mechanical systems.
• Computer programming experience is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project, and engineering drawing tools.
• Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, and temperature controls.
• Tridium Niagara and/or Alerton experience preferred.
• Preferably 3 years’ experience
