Job Description:
- The Controls Project Engineer will be responsible for hardware/software design and programming for building automation systems.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and programming activities utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings.
- Responsible for the sequence of operations which meet the project requirements.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Possesses knowledge of air conditioning systems and controls.
- Reviews equipment submittals for incorporation into design.
- Responsible for creating installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and final validation of system operation.
- Assists project team with programming, electrical terminations, commissioning, graphic development, test, and startup.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or a combination of three to four years’ experience with controls/mechanical systems.
- Computer programming experience is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project, and engineering drawing tools.
- Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, and temperature controls.
- Tridium Niagara and/or Alerton experience preferred.
- Preferably 3 years’ experience
Salary : $120 - $130
