Key Responsibilities
The successful Safety Engineer will lead and promote a SAFE First Culture, assure compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policy, and perform job hazard analysis to identify loss potential of our systems and processes. Additionally, they will review location standards, policies, and practices, train associates and supervisors, maintain required records, conduct warehouse safety and environmental inspections, organize and coordinate emergency response, conduct ergonomics assessments, and facilitate ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14000 & OHSAS standards
• Excellent leadership and training skills
• Ability to manage projects with on-time delivery
• Minor schedule flexibility
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations
• Accident investigation experience
• Familiarity with job safety analysis process
• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in safety & environmental or engineering role
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general databases/web-based applications
