Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Integration International Inc. in Foxboro, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the creation of printed circuit board designs using Cadence design systems (Allegro).
- Release projects to manufacturing by creating schematic design capture, new part numbers, detailed descriptions, and printed board assemblies (BOM structures).
- Work within the Windchill PDM application tool to store fabrication documentation, schematics, gerber files, etc.
- Resolve differences between design and fabrication requirements by making determinations such as modifying designs versus sending parts back to vendors.
- Collaborate with other engineering resources, project management, purchasing, etc., and assist in applying core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar, and novel problems.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of control electronic products, specifically analog and digital circuits, and power electronics circuits with 5 years of experience.
- Able to lead PCB specs release in qualification and in PDM.
- Support qualification of electronic components such as IGBTs, Magnetics, Thyristors, AC/DC capacitors, FAN's, etc.
- Knowledge of test equipment, CRO, AC Source, DC Source, Auto transformers, Multimeters, Data loggers.
- Able to design and implement PCB designs that meet electrical, EMC, Safety, mechanical, thermal, and DFA/DFM requirements of the System.
- Able to run independent tests, with good knowledge in basic troubleshooting of products.
- Able to generate alternate solutions during feasibility studies during PCB modifications.
- Prior experience working with design packages and product Lifecyle Management (PLM) tools is required (more specifically Allegro and Windchill PDM or similar type processes).
- Able to work cross-functionally (i.e., with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Project Management) is strongly desired.
