Job Location: Los Altos, California
Job Type: Full time ( Flexibility to choose between 32-40 hours per week )
Work setting: The position offers a dynamic blend of in-person and remote work, with 3-4 days on-site and 1 day remote (Hybrid)
Patient demographics: Adolescents and Adults
Compensation: $140,000 - $175,000
Responsibilities:
- Provide medication management and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure integrated care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing or mental health practice preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-based care environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
