Part Time Audiologist in Syosset:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personal part time Audiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of auditory health and be able to provide exceptional patient care through diagnostic evaluations. The Audiologist will work closely with patients to assess their hearing and basic balance needs, while ensuring a positive experience throughout the process.
We are seeking someone available to cover the following schedule:
- Wednesdays 10am-6pm,
- Thursdays (9am -5pm)
- Every other Friday (9am-12pm).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of both adult and pediatric patients' hearing abilities.
- Colaborate with colleagues to help identify and individualize treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Conduct tests such as Impedance testing, Otoacoustic emissions, comprehensive hearing evaluations, and Dix Hallpike / Epley Maneuvers;
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding hearing health and available options.
- Effectively communicate with patients, addressing their concerns and demonstrate compassionate, friendly service commensurate with our practice goals.
Requirements
- New York State Audiology license (Au.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited institution).
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to auditory health.
- Proficient in using office software and computerized systems for documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, ensuring clarity and understanding.
