The PRN Chaplain offers pastoral care to patients, families, and staff. He/she maintains a professional relationship with hospital personnel. The Chaplain may be required to take call during the evenings, on weekends and holidays and must be available to respond during emergencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Master of Divinity from a seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools preferred or a similarly credentialed accrediting agency, or its equivalent as determined by the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred
• Endorsement by a recognized faith community and ordination by a recognized faith community
• Clinical Pastoral Education (1 unit preferred on hire; expectation to complete 1 unit within 12 months of hire if not already complete on hire).
• Those already hired without CPE unit have 18 months to complete 1 unit. - In lieu of educational requirements, 5 years pastoral ministry required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
• 2 years' experience in hospital setting preferred
