The Mammography Technologist Lead performs a variety of radiographic and mammography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
The Mammography Technologist Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operates radiographic equipment and monitors the equipment under their use; promptly reporting malfunctions
- Performs necessary RIS/PACS computer and clerical functions regarding examination requests
- Utilizes appropriate nursing procedure technique to provide necessary care and safety for patients while in the department
- Obtain prior comparison exams from outside facilities if necessary.
- Supervises department technical staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed
- Responsible for quality control testing and departmental adherence to ACR/MQSA guidelines and protocols.
- The Mammography Technologist Lead reports to the Operations Manager.

- Exposed to moveable trays, bins, etc, electrical equipment; to contamination or infection through accidental needle punctures, chemical fumes from processors while developing radiographs, to radiation, and patients with contagious diseases.
- Exposed to odor, blood, chemical irritation, a variety of constant interruption, and inclement weather conditions while driving for response to emergency callbacks.
- Must wear universal safety protective clothing.

- Current Mammography certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- 2 years' experience in Mammography.
- Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
- This job requires the incumbents to operate in INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Driver's License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
