The Monitor Technician observes the cardiac rhythm of patients in the assigned unit, assesses patients' status and reports the patients cardiac rhythm to medical/nursing staff. This position requires population specific competencies.
Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
- Prefer medical or monitor tech experience
- Central Monitoring Unit: Requires validation of competency by scoring a minimum of 90% on the Basic Dysrhythmia test
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English For current Deaconess incumbent(s) only at the time of acquisition (10/1/2018)
For Deaconess Only:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prefer medical or monitor tech experience
- Central Monitoring Unit: Requires validation of competency by scoring a minimum of 90% on the Basic Dysrhythmia test
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
