Under the general guidance and direction of the supervising physician, provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. Assists physician with procedures and serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Collaborates consistently with the supervising physician, nursing staff, support staff, and other members of the health care team.
Performs other job duties as assigned. This position requires age-specific competency. May be required to participate in on-call status.
Heart Hospital: In conjunction with the Medical Director develops evidence based protocols, provides and compiles outcome data, and assists with the implementation of acute care and rehabilitation of patients with cerebral vascular disease.

- Requires a Master's degree or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Oklahoma.
- Requires current BLS certification.
- HEART HOSPITAL ONLY: Previous work experience in care of Neurological patients required, stroke care preferred.
- EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT ONLY: One(1) year of experience in a comprehensive emergency department setting preferred.
- For INTEGRIS Cardiovascular Physicians: - This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
