The Public Safety Sergeant is an armed position that supervises Security personnel and their work during a shift. Protects personnel and property within buildings and on all contiguous grounds; prevents criminal, destructive, or disruptive activity; corrects hazardous and unsafe conditions; controls pedestrian and vehicle traffic; provides public service to patients, visitors and employees; and performs parking enforcement duties when directed. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. * Associates degree or above preferred.
* Armed CLEET License or Retired Police Commission.
* 1 year prior security experience.
* Basic and Advanced Certifications by the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) required.
* CPR Certification preferred. * Current Oklahoma Driver's license, with driving record acceptable to INTEGRIS Health insurance carrier
* Must be able to read, write & speak English effectively in order to communicate with staff/customers and assure technical compliance. For current Deaconess incumbent(s) only at the time of acquisition (10/1/2018) For Deaconess Only: * Armed CLEET License or Retired Police Commission preferred.
