Supervises the daily operational activities of the department. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

The Supervisor Radiology - 1 responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervises and influences department staff, including hiring, scheduling, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed.
- Assists department director including short and long range departmental planning including, but not limited to: budgeting for personnel, operations, and capital assets, planning for the acquisition of new technology, planning for the design and renovation of physical facilities, and utilization of available space and organization of services within that space for areas of direct supervision.
- Ensures departmental compliance with appropriate accreditation bodies and applicable guidelines.
- Monitors and leads efforts to ensure the quality of patient exams and documentation are performed by staff.
- Troubleshoots and resolves errors in radiology reports and patient exam orders.
- Manages the compliance of certificate requirements and competencies.
- Contributes to the oversight and compliance of the department(s) established budgets.

Some possibility of injury to fingers in operating equipment by getting them caught in cassettes, bucky trays or film bin. Possibility of contamination or infection through accidental needle punctures; inhaling chemical fumes from processors while developing radiographs; and exposure to radiation. Frequent contact with patients with contagious diseases and with electrical equipment.

- Graduation from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology required.
- Certification in Radiologic Technology, R.T., A.R.R.T., ARDMS or equivalent required.
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge and technical skills to use a variety of highly specialized radiographic equipment and related procedures
- 2 years experience as a registered technologist
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal)
Breast Health Services Only:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in business related courses preferred
Lakeside Womens Hospital:
- Provides Radiology (C-arm) support to Lakeside department of Surgery as needed
- May be required to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier
