What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Pastoral Care position at Integris Health?
The Supervisor Pastoral Care is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department including supervision of staff, planning work direction, and setting staff objectives. Maintains a professional relationship with hospital personnel and leads support and educational events in the hospital. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

The Supervisor Pastoral Care responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversees daily operations of the department.
- Manages department staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed.
- Assists in supporting CPE students' clinical work, through scheduling, training, and reporting to the ACPE Supervisor about student work.
- Oversees the organ and tissue donation processes within the hospital, including evaluating and reporting data to the President of IBMC for the Joint Commission.
- Leads education and training events; trains CPE students in the departments required request for organ and tissue donation procedure an teaches in the clinical pastoral education program.
- Coordinates the visits of chaplain residents.
- Reports to assigned leadership position

- Masters of Divinity from a seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools or a similarly credentialed accrediting agency, or its equivalent as determined by the Association of Professional Chaplains
- Endorsement by a recognized faith community and ordination by a recognized faith community
- 5 years' experience in hospital or pastoral ministry
- 4 units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (1 year)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
