Key Responsibilities :
Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, or other records to ensure order accuracy.
Determine shipment methods and prepare shipping documentation.
Affix shipping labels or stencil shipping information onto containers.
Assemble wooden or cardboard containers and prepare items for shipment.
Nail covers, bind containers, and stamp or stencil identifying information.
Inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues.
Route received items to appropriate departments and maintain inventory records.
Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Inspect, accept, or reject materials received while ensuring proper documentation.
Operate tier lift trucks or hand trucks for material handling.
Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications and standards.
Prepare procurement requests and maintain material inventory records.
Knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls is an advantage.
Qualifications :
Candidates should have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and preferably experience in shipping and receiving operations. Familiarity with material-handling equipment like tier lift trucks is a plus.
