Job Description

Level II RT Certified candidate must be local to Mt. Vernon, or Evansville, IN areas or willing to relocate. IAG will provide a full relocation package for individuals or family. Other locations to consider: Henderson KY, Owensboro KY, Harrisburg IL

This is a full-time opportunity with IAG, located in Mt. Vernon, IN. This is not a travel position and will be onsite at client location.

Position Summary:

The Facility Level II NDE RT Technician is responsible for onsite inspections of vessels, tanks, and piping for the customer. The goal of the Technician is Operation Excellence and Technical Quality.

  • This Role includes delivery of services on time, safety and with the highest quality possible.
  • Where qualifies the position supports training, Technique development, and delivery of specialized services utilizing automated and computerized inspection systems.

Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem Solving

  • Must be able to climb ladders and carry inspection equipment/ RT sources.
  • Must be comfortable in confined spaces.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • The ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience with isometric drawing of piping systems (Desired)
  • Experience in a customer service focused organization.
  • Strong customer service communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Work independently, in a safe and effective manner with minimal direction and supervision in a procedure driven environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years in the industry

Environmental/Working Conditions

  • The position consists of a standard 40 hr workweek, with overtime as the customer requires and during turnaround periods. Minimum travel is required.
  • Must be comfortable in confined spaces and willing to wear SCBA (Self containing breathing apparatus) on a semi-routine basis.

  • MT
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a Background Security check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit/stand for long periods of time; routinely walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee must be able to lift push, pull and/or move more than 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment: The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Double hearing protection is occasionally required.
