Career Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Rope Access L2/3 with API 510 and 570 certifications (NDT) at Tomball, TX. This position performs inspection and rope access support as well as growth in our Integrity Services Division. NDT Technicians are always representative of the company especially when on customer job sites and interacting with vendors.
In this role, you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written), a robust background in NDT and Rope Access fields and familiarity with associated procedures and practices. The exact tools you will work with will be based on your knowledge, skills, fit and need within our team.
An ideal candidate for this position has non-destructive technician experience and training, which may come in the form of formal education or previous work experience. Candidates who have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience and are highly motivated are encouraged to apply.
Primary Job Duties:
- Performs nondestructive testing and inspections in accordance with written procedures, national codes, or customer specifications.
- Perform rope access jobs and train up technicians with less experience or certifications
- Provides guidance and assistance with scheduling and mobilization plans.
- Communicates updated procedures and detailed findings in support of inspection techniques within all levels of crew and clients when applicable.
- Dependable and prompt in relation to inspection report creation, timecard submittals, expense reconciliations, training requirements, and other business-related tasks as assigned.
- Directs the work of Assistants and Level I Technicians and reports project updates to supervisor when needed.
- Provides current updated procedures to support inspection techniques.
- Mentors and trains coworkers assigned through on the job training in safe work practices, technical skills, and compliance with company policy.
- Participates in the ongoing development of processes and upgrades when necessary.
- Remains abreast of new technologies and test procedures within the assigned organization and continually expands inspection qualifications.
- Ability to adhere to and work safely and effectively according to company and site standards.
Qualifications:
- A High school diploma or GED and certified Level II in at least two NDE methods is required. Those methods include but are not limited to:
- MT, PT, UT
- VT, RT
- Training in ET, AUT, PAUT, GUL, CWI, TOFD and API 653 are a plus.
- Must be certified API 510 and 570
- Exposure to advanced inspection tools is a plus.

Rope access level 2 or 3 certifications and hours in:
- SPRAT
- IRATA
- Rigging
- OSHA 10 training
- Ability to professionally communicate through email, phone, one-on-one and small group conversations, and documentation and memos.
- Willingness and ability to travel on short notice, and for extended periods of time.
- Proficient working knowledge of basic computer programs such as MS Office and non-destructive testing and computer software.
- Clear and current driver’s license required. Must be able to rent vehicles to support inspection needs.
- Due to the requirements of working with this position and vendor, qualified candidates must be Covid-19 vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
- Current and valid U.S. passport and TWIC card is preferred.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Work Environment: This job operates both inside and outside and can be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
Additional Position Information:
- Employment Status: This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with benefit eligibility that reports to the Service Manager.
- Work Schedule: This position will encompass normal business hours but will also need to work weekends/overtime/off-hours to meet the needs of our clients.
- Location: While performance of the duties of this job are primarily on a site-specific location the employee will be required to travel domestically and frequently stay in hotels. The employee must be able to travel as necessary, potentially with short notice, to fulfil customer needs.
