Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Communication:
- Bridge communication between field teams and accounting to ensure seamless data sharing and resource availability.
- Present financial data during monthly division reviews and collaborate with leadership to interpret results.
- Accounting Management:
- Oversee core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Supervise the job costing team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost tracking and analysis.
- Policy & Procedure Development:
- Design and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.
- Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support multi-company accounting operations, including acquired and startup business entities.
- Field Collaboration:
- Perform regular field visits to ensure alignment between project execution and financial tracking.
- Support field teams by providing accurate financial data and addressing any discrepancies.
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience in commercial construction.
- Strong expertise in job costing, general ledger management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multi-company structures, including acquired and startup entities.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., ECMs by Computer Guidance Corp).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication abilities to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and collaborative mindset.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Other Qualifications:
- Proven ability to streamline processes and implement effective strategies.
- Familiarity with field operations and construction jobsite dynamics is a plus.
