We are seeking an Automation Engineer to collaborate with our Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams to provide customized software and hardware solutions for material handling systems. The role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, and software modifications to ensure that our systems meet customer expectations. You will play a crucial role in delivering tailored automation solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Customize and configure crane control systems using pre-existing software modules.
- Support factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and full lifecycle management of automation equipment.
- Modify PLC software to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor and develop replacements for outdated automation hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control/software issues in collaboration with engineers and technicians.
- Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting and system commissioning as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on material handling equipment.
- Expertise in Siemens PLC and HMI programming.
- Previous experience working as an Automation Engineer.
- Knowledge of variable frequency drives and control systems for material handling devices.
- Familiarity with NEC electrical codes and OSHA safety requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Salary : $82,000 - $105,000
