An AI lab with a small, innovative team of 15 and over $20 million in funding, focused on building groundbreaking artificial intelligence technologies. is seeking 4 skilled Back-End Engineers with expertise in Rust, Haskell, or C to work on cutting-edge projects that include rebuilding Google-level search and optimizing document parsing systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced AI solutions in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Rebuild a search engine to handle 10 billion pages in 1 month.
• Redesign document parsers to work universally across websites.
• Optimize a custom vector database to run over a billion vectors in under 100ms.
• Collaborate closely with our technical team to push the boundaries of AI technologies.
  
  

Technologies

• Rust (preferred), C , Haskell
• Low-level programming languages with high-performance capabilities
  
  

Requirements

• 2-15 years of experience (based on various factors including the quality of previous projects)
• Strong interest in low-level programming and proficiency in Rust, Haskell, or C
• Start-up oriented mindset; big tech experience is often seen as a negative unless balanced with startup experience
• Academic excellence, including a strong GPA, competitive programming experience, or a high SAT score (1550 out of 1600)
