Seeking an experienced Sr. Electronic/Electrical Design Engineer for a 6 month contract (could be extended) for a medical device company in Dublin, CA. This position is an 100% onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with development groups as well as within the Electronics Engineering team.
- Lead technical personnel (such as other engineers, engineering technicians, designers, and drafters) in the preparation of detailed designs, testing of designs and fabrication of prototypes in order to meet product and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate engineering projects. Direct project activities, prepare schedules, coordinate projects with Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
- Analyze, recommend, and develop design approaches required to meet Marketing, Production, and cost requirements for new or improved products.
- Perform detailed design of complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product specifications.
- Evaluate various designs and manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness and recommended solutions. Develop design philosophies that satisfy interrelated aspects of product design.
- Participate in EE design review of complex systems and circuits.
- Document electronics including generating schematics, assembly drawings, procedures, timing diagrams and operational descriptions.
- Perform electronic experimental tests, evaluations, and simulations. Design PCBs.
Skills:
- 3 years Electronic/Electrical Design Engineer experience
- Experience working as a senior or lead
- Experience working in the medical device industry
- Experience with PCBs and electronic product design
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Salary : $60 - $75
