Skilled Construction Services Technician

We are currently looking for Skilled Construction Services Technicians to join our team in Orlando. The service department consists of siding repairs, stucco repairs, dry rot, and framing repairs, window and door installation, fence work, minor roofing repairs, miscellaneous exterior repairs, siding inspections, and consultations, decks, railings, investigative openings, drywall, and more.

This role has a high level of client interaction. You will act as a face for the company as well as be a line for communication for the client while performing your job duties.

POSITION: Skilled Construction Services Technician

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Construction Service Technician will do a variety of tasks with the service team such as: siding repairs, dry rot, and framing repairs, window and door installation, fence work, minor roofing repairs, miscellaneous exterior repairs, siding inspections, and consultations, decks, railings, investigative openings, dry wall, and more.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The Experienced Construction Services Technician performs the following:

• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
• Framing, siding, drywall, operating machinery (forklifts, etc.)
• Use pressure washers for miscellaneous exterior cleaning without guidance
• Siding repairs, stucco patching, dry rot, and framing repairs, minor roofing repairs, and miscellaneous exterior repairs
• Window and door installation, fence work, decks, railings, siding inspections, consultations, and investigative openings
• Setting up and using 40ft. ladders to access roofs for moss removal, and gutter cleaning and minor repairs.
• Conducting and presenting yourself as a professional with a good attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES – The Experienced Construction Services Technician is responsible for the following:

1. Adhering to the codes of the company’s Employee Manual

2. Ensures that OSHA standards are observed

3. Working well with coworkers and Supervisors, avoiding conflicts and confrontations that result in a tense and unproductive working environment

4. Participating in training meetings when needed. This includes learning product knowledge and procedural proficiencies

5. Maintaining a reasonable work environment and obeying safe working practices

6. Treating customers with courtesy at all times

7. Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects that are classified

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: The following are required of the Experienced Construction Services Technician:

1. Job Proficiency: The employee is able to perform routine duties and activities with minimal supervision and few if any errors.

2. Compliance: The employee takes direction without confrontation and completes tasks within the time given by Supervisor.

3. Corporate Policies: Compliance with all company policies.

Education/qualifications: The Experienced Service and Maintenance Technician should possess the following:

5 years related experience

Extensive knowledge of the construction industry

Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular daily routine and be able to stand on your feet for a long period of time

Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities

Work well independently as well as within a team

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management, customers, and team members

Possess an active Florida driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

Must pass a drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
