Location: Urbandale, IA Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite daily for 1-2 weeks training, then onsite 6 times/month) Type: Contract (Potential for contract-to-hire, no guarantees) Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Brief Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Associate to join our Accounting Operations team. This role focuses on accounts receivable and collections, providing an opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations and maintain strong client relationships. You will collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams, playing a key part in maximizing monthly collections.
Job Description:
As an Associate in Accounting Operations, you will be responsible for managing and collecting on past-due invoices, with a focus on invoicing for the central market. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure timely payments and resolve any billing discrepancies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of process improvements for collections and reporting.
- Collecting outstanding invoices while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Providing feedback and guidance to offshore Collections team members.
- Analyzing past-due client trends and identifying root causes of non-payment.
- Collaborating with onshore team members to improve process efficiencies.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and SOX procedures.
- Managing an invoice load of 500-700 invoices per month.
Requirements:
Minimum Mandatory Requirements:
- 1-3 years of collections, finance, or related experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel.
- Previous AR experience.
- Experience with Cash receipts.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Prior reporting and project work experience.
- Attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- Training will be conducted onsite for 1-2 weeks.
- After training, the role will be hybrid, requiring onsite presence 6 times per month.
